Diamond Buddha

The seated Buddha diamond cut was developed in 1995 by J.Korn & Parthners (Antwerp, Belgium). The ideas of cutting are inspired by the use of the epithet "diamond" in Buddhism, as a symbol of the invincibility of faith: "Diamond Sutra", "Diamond Chariot". The cut is officially registered and produced under the trade name "Buddha Diamond". Cut diamonds have color characteristics from "D" to "L" with a clarity from "VVS" to "SI2", and the part of the diamond from which the head is made must be free of inclusions. The cut has 51 facets (33 facets of the crown and 21 facets of the pavilion). It is produced in three different modifications, depending on the region of destination: "Shakyamuni Buddha" for India, "Guanyin" for China, "Kannon" for Japan, "Jinarat" for Thailand. Currently, this type of cut, in addition to Belgium, is produced in the USA, Japan, China, Thailand and India. Also, composite (composite) cuts are made, consisting of several, most often nine, separate parts, which all together form a single composition in the form of a seated Buddha. One of these cuts was named "Lord Budhha". The rights to cut production belong to the JBR & CO company (Surat, India), founded in 2018. For the production of the cut, diamonds of color from "G" to "J" are used. Similar cuts are made by a number of other manufacturers in India.

Currently, gemstones are produced by two fundamentally different technological methods - the High Pressure - High Temperature method (“HPHT”, High-pressure & High-temperature) and the Chemical Vapor Deposition (“CVD”, Chemical vapor deposition) method. The "HPHT" method is the most tested classical synthesis method, which can be used both carbon deposition on diamond from flux melts and catalytic reactions. In "CVD" synthesis, diamond growth occurs on a seed during carbon deposition mainly from a gaseous medium at relatively low temperatures and pressures.

Jewelry and precious stones are just such a category of goods, when buying which you need to pay attention to many criteria.

Sogdianite is a rather rare mineral and more often it can be found as a collection material (moreover, in systematic collections), and it is extremely rare in jewelry.
