In 2021, the mining company Rio Tinto planned to close the famous for its pink diamonds mine Argyle in Australia, but this sad event for most gemologists took place already in 2020. The very fact of stopping the already legendary deposit, where diamonds have been mined since 1983, is sad. However, there is still hope that over time, due to changes in market conditions, production at the mine will be restored in certain volumes.
