Ussingit - raspberries in jelly

Ussingite is a rare jewelry and ornamental stone with a pale pink color of low saturation and is most often found in the form of confluent fine or coarse-grained masses in pegmatites of alkaline intrusive massifs. Ussingite is known as a gemstone from occurrences in Greenland, Canada and Russia. In Russia, most of the ornamental and jewelry-ornamental ussingite is mined from the pegmatites of the Lovozero alkaline massif. Ussingite has a relatively high hardness - 6-7 on the Moss scale; it is well processed due to the formation of aggregates of granular masses, leveling the effect of perfect cleavage. One of the advantages and disadvantages of ussingite is its soft pink color. It is rather difficult to combine with other gems and jewelry metals, however, the characteristic matt translucency of the mineral gives it a certain zest, making it akin to numerous "jades". In this regard, monomineral beads and necklaces prevail among the ussingite jewelry.

Currently, gemstones are produced by two fundamentally different technological methods - the High Pressure - High Temperature method (“HPHT”, High-pressure & High-temperature) and the Chemical Vapor Deposition (“CVD”, Chemical vapor deposition) method. The "HPHT" method is the most tested classical synthesis method, which can be used both carbon deposition on diamond from flux melts and catalytic reactions. In "CVD" synthesis, diamond growth occurs on a seed during carbon deposition mainly from a gaseous medium at relatively low temperatures and pressures.

Jewelry and precious stones are just such a category of goods, when buying which you need to pay attention to many criteria.

Sogdianite is a rather rare mineral and more often it can be found as a collection material (moreover, in systematic collections), and it is extremely rare in jewelry.
