Emeralds-trapiche. What it is?

Everyone knows what an emerald is. It is a green gem, a type of beryl. What does the prefix "trapiche" mean? The term itself refers to a sugarcane crush, similar to a wheel with jumpers and was widespread in Latin America in the 19-20 centuries.
Later this word began to be called unusual emeralds, first found in Colombia. They are a green crystal, which is divided into sectors by dark or light material. The composition of this material was later studied, and it was found that black matter is a carbon compound, and white matter is albite. The formation of trapezium emeralds is associated with a suspension of crystal growth during its formation and its further autoepitaxial (regular) formation in the form of a parallel intergrowth. The color of the emerald zones can also change during growth in the event of a change in the composition of the mineral-forming solution.
With regard to the price of emeralds-trapiche, bright green stones with an even and clearly defined star are considered the most valuable. However, even the finest stones are trapically comparable in price only to the prices of ordinary emeralds of medium quality.

Currently, gemstones are produced by two fundamentally different technological methods - the High Pressure - High Temperature method (“HPHT”, High-pressure & High-temperature) and the Chemical Vapor Deposition (“CVD”, Chemical vapor deposition) method. The "HPHT" method is the most tested classical synthesis method, which can be used both carbon deposition on diamond from flux melts and catalytic reactions. In "CVD" synthesis, diamond growth occurs on a seed during carbon deposition mainly from a gaseous medium at relatively low temperatures and pressures.

Jewelry and precious stones are just such a category of goods, when buying which you need to pay attention to many criteria.

Sogdianite is a rather rare mineral and more often it can be found as a collection material (moreover, in systematic collections), and it is extremely rare in jewelry.
